Hamad Al-Muzaini was a Saudi actor who helped shape traditions, storytelling, and family bonds for a generation of viewers. Endowed with a gift for poetry, Al-Muzaini championed local content and stories, and was a vocal critic of writers and producers who ignored traditional narratives, believing they saw the tales as conventional and superficial. He had a presence in countless Saudi households, renowned for his roles in a wide array of television series, including the iconic “Tash ma Tash.” He died on Sept. 21, 2025, at the age of 80 after a long illness.
Formally known as the National Platform for Charitable Work, Ehsan is a digital platform developed by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) to facilitate charitable donations using data and AI. This year, Ehsan has so far supported more than 70,000 students across the Kingdom through various educational schemes. Ehsan, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, also promotes a culture of giving among young Saudis.
